Ghent Pride, hosted by the Ghent District Foundation & the Ghent Business Association is back again in 2024! As part of a diverse community, we will partner with Hampton Roads Pride to host a kick-off event for Pride Week 2024. The event will unveil Pride Banners on 21st street and Colley and will also be a fundraiser for 10 local non-profit organizations supporting the LGBTQ+ community year-round through programming and health and human services.

2023 Ghent Pride event had over 950 in attendance with over 25 business sponsors and all proceeds raised over $30,000 for local non- profits who help the local LGBTQIA community in Hampton Roads. 

WHY SUPPORT GHENT PRIDE? 

There are many reasons why the Ghent District Foundation (GDF) hosts events. The largest reason is to give back to our community. By having larger scale, fun events in the heart of Ghent, it is the goal of GDF to attract residents from not only Norfolk but also from around Hampton Roads. It is the goal to have these visitors be proud of the diverse community of Ghent and to return to shop and dine in Ghent’s unique variety of retailers and restaurants. Local restaurants, vendors, and businesses directly benefit from the increase in traffic during Ghent Pride. 

GHENT PRIDE CAN BECOME A TRADITION WITH CONTINUED SUPPORT 

Ghent Pride will serve as one of four of GDF’s yearly fundraising events to attract citizens to Ghent, support business in Ghent, and in this event, give back to non-profits who serve the Ghent and Hampton Roads communities.

“The Palace Sponsorship” $10,000
